Hi, I’m Al. Photography has always been something I’ve loved, but my connection with animals has given it real purpose. Bringing the two together felt like the obvious path, and in 2020, I decided to turn that passion into my business. Since then, I’ve been focused on capturing animals in a way that feels real, natural and full of life.
I’m based in Dalton-in-Furness and regularly cover Ulverston and the surrounding areas, working with both pets and wildlife.
When I’m photographing pets, building a connection comes first. I’ve always had a natural affinity with animals, and I take the time to let them settle and feel comfortable around me. Every animal is different, and I enjoy getting to know their personality during the shoot.
By keeping things relaxed and pressure-free, I’m able to capture moments that feel genuine rather than forced. The result is a set of photographs that truly reflect your pet as they are.
Wildlife photography is something that demands patience, and that’s something I’m more than willing to give. I’ve spent hours walking across landscapes, climbing hills and waiting quietly for the right moment to appear.
Sometimes that means standing still for long periods, other times it means heading up into the mountains and waiting for the light and the subject to align. That time and effort are what make each image feel special to me.
Setting up in 2020 felt like a natural step. I’ve always enjoyed photography, and combining that with my love of animals made it an easy decision. For me, it’s not just about taking pictures. It’s about capturing character, connection and those small moments that often go unnoticed.
I’m friendly, approachable and easy to work with, but I also take pride in being professional and reliable. Good timekeeping matters to me, and I always aim to make the whole experience straightforward and enjoyable.
Whether I’m working with you and your pet or out in the wild waiting for that perfect shot, I put the same level of care and attention into everything I do.
